University of London (City), a leading, global university providing academic excellence for business and the professions, has selected Semestry to enhance the experience of their students. City joins seven other institutions who recently selected TermTime, ExamTime, and MyTimetable to help them deliver the right timetables for students and colleagues.
Today, City’s students expect seamless, education-related operations and services and continuous delivery of an excellent experience. By connecting student attendance systems, deploying web room booking, and implementing scheduling of the academic and assessment timetables, Semestry plays a role in City’s wider aims to personalise the student experience from initial inquiry through graduation.
“City’s team of expert timetablers collaborate with numerous stakeholders across our community to produce timetables for our students,” said Hannah Evans, Head of Timetabling & Space Management at City. “Using Semestry, our timetablers will be able to easily gather and manage the complex data inputs about module choice, student and staff availability, and delivery style.”
“Through the implementation of Semestry, our timetabling team will have more flexibility to leverage the wide variety of spaces and learning technologies available,” continued Hannah. “The result will be increased personalisation of timetables for our students and academic colleagues.”
“We’re excited to partner with Semestry for our timetable solution,” said Katie Felton, Exams Manager, City. “Semestry’s rich functionality will enable us to look across all timetables, including both courses and exams, so we can deliver individualised timetables that meet every student’s needs and allow them to perform at their best.”
“We strive to help universities like City deliver on their promise of outstanding academic experiences,” said Mark Pickett, Chief Executive Officer, Tribal Group. “With Semsetry’s smart, assistive scheduling technology, City’s expert timetablers will be able to handle diverse constraints with ease, enabling them to deliver the right timetable for everyone.”
