Glasgow Caledonian University transforms its student management with SITS:Vision
Tribal Group is proud to announce that Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has selected SITS:Vision as its Student Information Management System (SIMS).
In 2017, GCU invited bids for a replacement student information system as part of the University’s digital strategy to transform corporate systems, infrastructure, business processes and practices. The University recognised the opportunity for the project to generate benefits throughout the student lifecycle and enhance the experience of its students and staff.
From recruitment and admissions, through to student support, retention and outcomes, Tribal's SITS:Vision system is specifically designed for higher education providers to manage and improve every aspect of the student journey. SITS:Vision transforms the way staff collect, collate, analyse, share and act on information to deliver the best experience for every student across the institution.
Tribal ranked top in the tender process following a comprehensive evaluation, which included panel members from the University’s academic schools and corporate services.
Building on the information gained throughout the procurement phase, the SIMS project team at GCU worked in partnership with Tribal to develop a detailed project plan and implementation timeline and are now in Stage 1 of the project defining the Academic model.
Stephen Lopez, Academic Registrar at Glasgow Caledonian University said:
“This project goes beyond the simple need to enhance the capacity and capability of our corporate systems. Working with Tribal, we will be able to understand and transform our processes to improve the end-to-end student and staff experience.”
Jon Baldwin, Managing Director – Higher Education at Tribal said:
“We are delighted to be working with Glasgow Caledonian University to assist them in the modernisation and transformation of their student management and experience. We are proud to be able to support GCU, through our technology, in their goal of transforming lives through education.”
