British University Vietnam to implement Tribal SITS:Vision to redefine their student management system and enhance the student experience.
Tribal Group, a leading provider of Education Technology SaaS solutions globally, has announced the signing of a 5-year contract worth just under $3m AUD with British University Vietnam for the deployment of their out-of-the-box foundation build of Tribal SITS:Vision to completely redefine the institution’s student management system.
British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam granted to deliver degrees by two prestigious universities in the United Kingdom: University of London and Staffordshire University. BUV’s mission is to “create a new generation of discoverers, explorers and creative thinkers who are educated, trained, and prepared to thrive in future (4IR) fields of work and life”. The university currently helps educate nearly 3,000 students on a state-of-the-art campus in Ecopark township, Vietnam, backed by an innovative and diverse group of approximately 200 employees, out of which 57 are faculty members.
Recently, BUV became the first university in Vietnam to be certified by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) with a 5-star rating for overall score and for the following criteria: Teaching, Employability, Academic Development, Facilities, Social Responsibilities, and Inclusiveness. The Finance and Economics programme of the university was also honoured to receive a 5-star validation from QS for the criterium of Programme Strength.
Tribal SITS: Vision is replacing a number of BUV’s in-house systems to provide a centralised student management system. BUV was seeking a modern platform that would be scalable to support the rapid growth predicted within the institution. Over the next three years, they planned to triple their student numbers and aim to do this without having to dramatically increase their internal resources. They wanted a solution that would provide efficiency and all the business process reengineering that a modern system would bring to support their vision for growth.
Both University of London and Staffordshire University as well as the Foreign Commonwealth Office recommended Tribal in BUV’s search. And after a rigorous vetting process, the team awarded Tribal and their produce, SITS:Vision, with the win. Tribal SITS:Vision will be implemented with a phased delivery and a single go-live is set for August 2023.
