Understanding the key statutory and reputational risks to your organisation in delivering apprenticeships and how to build in risk reduction is key to a sustained, successful apprenticeship programme.
We will explore compliance, common issues at audit and Ofsted inspection, as well as possible changes post-election, this session also looks at strategies and approaches to minimise risk now and in the future.
Building a quality-first culture: What do we do when no-one is looking?

In this session we will explore the ingredients of high-impact apprenticeships using outcomes from inspection and our work with clients. We will consider practical ideas and methods for developing a model of continuous improvement that works.

She is the co-founder of mesma; the people behind the highly successful mesma quality assurance software platform, a strategic consultant with SDN, academy chair, college governor and non-exec director.
Carla Martinho

Carla Martinho has extensive experience of the work-based learning sector, supporting training providers and large employers to deliver high-quality apprenticeships which comply with Agency funding rules, helping to prepare for audit and inspection, as well as keeping ahead of the ever-changing apprenticeship landscape.
She leads a team of MIS professionals delivering ILR, compliance and funding support, providing expert on-demand resource, allowing organisations to focus on delivering a high-quality learning experience.
Carla has previously supported the Apprenticeship Service providing services to assist them with the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers application process.
