Govia Thameslink Railway Successfully Implements Maytas for Apprenticeship Management

Posted by Tribal Group

Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) is part of a wider group of transport companies who were looking to bring apprenticeships in-house a few years ago. As a collective, they tendered for the software that was needed to support this move, and Maytas was a clear winner when it came to the system to create and submit ILRs (Individual Learning Records).

Maytas streamlines the day-to-day administration of apprenticeships, reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Maytas has helped GTR to training, take online applications and link students to their Learning Record Service record, allowing them to pull in a learner’s Personal Learning Record. It has also enabled them to monitor learner success rates, and provide custom views for staff, assessors, employers and apprentices. The data visualisation tools, dashboards and automated reporting also puts live information at their fingertips.

Josie, Apprenticeship Advisor at GTR, said:

My role has been made a lot easier using Maytas. From the initial training when we were first set up to the continued support from all members of the Tribal team I’ve come into contact with, everything has been fantastic.

I know our data is as good as it can be because of the guidance from them. For me, the biggest plus with Maytas is the confidence it gives me in my role, I am confident of our ILR submissions.

GTR opted to use Tribal’s Data Management Service (DMS) which provides ongoing support as well as specific training. The DMS team directly supports GTR with their data on an ongoing basis, performing extensive data checks to ensure compliance for each funding return. This is achieved by the two teams working seamlessly together, meeting regularly to discuss and resolve issues.

Josie continues:

I don’t know everything regarding apprenticeship compliance and funding, but I am confident someone at Tribal will. I have and always will rave about Maytas and the Data Management team; together, you can be sure that you are really well set up for funding returns.
