Tribal secures University of Waikato

Tribal is proud to be working with 50% of the Higher Education sector in New Zealand, adding the University of Waikato to the SITS:Vision student management solution (SMS) portfolio.

Located in Hamilton, New Zealand, the University of Waikato is home to approximately 12,000 students. In June 2015 the university decided to replace its student management system with a solution that provides an authoritative source of truth and a robust and integrated web services portal.

We needed a supplier with commercial strength and experience combined with product viability and a proven track record in successfully implementing a new SMS.

says Professor Alister Jones, the university’s Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

In March 2016, the SITS:Vision SMS was chosen to support the university’s current and future student administration and information management needs, across all of the university’s locations and user bases.

The integrated solution will support more consistent processes and procedures across the organisation, including the central units, faculties and campuses.

The solution is simple to manage and maintain, and has been designed to be flexible and accommodating to the growing needs of a university’s changing business environment.

SITS:Vision will act as the University of Waikato’s secure source of student details and related data, make student and programme data available to relevant staff, as well as providing an effective integrated web portal for staff, students, agents, and partners. The flexible mobile delivery of the solution to end users will greatly improve the experience for staff and students.

We’re thrilled that the University of Waikato has chosen the SITS:Vision product and Tribal Group as its trusted partner.

Our integrated offering made up of the SITS:Vision core SMS, the Student Information Desk, MS Reporting and Student Insight will provide the staff at the University of Waikato with all data and intelligence they need to make every success of their organisation.
