Tribal proudly supports University Hospitals Bristol, a new apprenticeship provider

University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic and thriving group of hospitals in the heart of Bristol, a vibrant and culturally diverse city. They have over 9,000 staff who deliver over 100 different clinical services across nine different sites.

They recently joined the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) as an employer provider, and offer a huge range of career opportunities in clinical and support services. They needed confidence in a system that would support them with the new standards and changes throughout the Apprenticeship Levy.

UH Bristol chose to implement Maytas, Tribal’s leading learner management system, to support their Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) contract delivery along with supporting the assessment and progression of the full learner journey. The ability to import data from other systems to Maytas alleviated the need for multiple processes. The Maytas system will allow University Hospitals Bristol to meet the immediate need of the ESFA delivery within a streamlined system which has in built contract validation, limiting errors in data and ensuring a quick and efficient process draw down of government funding.

Julian Newberry, Acting Head of Education at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust said:

“We feel in safe hands with Tribal, as we know they work with other NHS sites so understand our unique needs within the sector. We are looking forward to using Maytas to effectively manage our funding within a single, integrated solution.”

Speaking on behalf of Tribal, Penny Johnson, Work Based Learning Account Manager said:

“We are delighted to be working with UH Bristol, to help make their lives easier so their apprentices can get the best experience possible. Our solution will grow with their provision, offering a modular and flexible approach to learner management.”
