Learning grounded in reality: Maytas supports Utilities Academy
Utilities Academy have selected Tribal’s Maytas to further enhance their excellent apprenticeship and training offering.
Utilities Academy boasts the UK’s first dedicated Smart Meter training facility,
The academy has a variety of real world scenarios and situations throughout the Smart Meter facility that engineers are likely to come across daily. They aim to train engineers to do the job properly, not just pass a qualification.
Utilities Academy were using a paper based learning management system, that was wasting precious staff time and costs. A paper-based system is open to errors and can overcomplicate the simplest of tasks.
Maytas was selected by Utilities Academy as the learning management solution to streamline the administration of their training.
After successfully being accepted onto the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP), Maytas is a system that not only gets the most out of their learners, but their funding is easier too! Data can be easily submitted to the relevant awarding and funding bodies, helping with funding efficiency and adhering to regulations.
Sue Mayers, Operations Manager at Utilities Academy said:

Here at Utilities Academy we believe in scenario driven training to prepare our engineering students for the real world. Maytas supports us in continually improving our training, to revolutionise the learning experience for our students, tutors and assessors.”
